It’s hard to believe, but it’s been 56 years since Cincinnati’s first Homearama, the annual event that features the latest and greatest in home and landscape design. Homearama is a must for anyone interested in architecture, interior and outdoor design, and especially for anyone looking to build a new home.
Homearama through the years
When Homearama in Cincinnati kicked off in 1962, it featured homes in the Millbrook development located in Finneytown. The event stayed in the northern part of the city for the next two years, with Homearamas in Forest Park, Colerain Township, Greenhills and Springfield Township.
These Homearama homes helped establish these communities as some of the city’s best when it comes to mid-century modern design.
In 1967, Homearama made its way to Blue Ash, and then to up-and-coming neighborhoods in Delhi Township and Monfort Heights. From then on, housing developments from every part of Cincinnati and the surrounding area – from Evendale to Loveland to Montgomery were featured over the years.
Without a doubt, Homearama has helped establish Cincinnati as a city rich with amazing architecture and talented home builders. And this year’s event is sure to keep the tradition going.
Homearama 2019 at Kensington of Mason
This year’s Homearama in Cincinnati will feature nine fully decorated and landscaped homes in Kensington, a premier home community located in Deerfield Township. Developed by Erbeck Development Company, Ltd., Kensington offers homes by established home builders including Classic Living Homes.
The 2019 Homearama has been widely anticipated ever since the Kensington location was announced. That’s because it’s one of the most sought after home new communities, thanks to its location in Warren County. Not only is Kensington in the Mason City School District, it’s centrally located off Fields Ertel Road, so great shopping and restaurants are nearby.
Kensington is an English-garden inspired community that features tree-lined streets, 23 acres of landscaped gardens and walking trails. It also offers a private entrance, and a cabana, an outdoor fireplace and swimming pool.
