Indian Hill is the natural choice for your custom built home
As soon as you arrive in The Village of Indian Hill, you know you are in a special place. It is apparent by well-preserved forests, gorgeous wooded roads and sceneic trails and incredibly diverse home architecture.
Indian Hill is also home to the Peterloon Estate, a rich and important part of Cincinnati history, as well as The Meadows at Peterloon, Indian Hill’s newest community that Classic Living Homes is very proud to a part of.
The history of the Peterloon Estate
John. J. Emery built the beautiful Peterloon Estate in 1928 for his wife and family. As the principal developer of Carew Tower, you could say he knew a thing or two about development. In addition to Carew Tower - which at the time was the tallest building west of the Alleghenies - Emery’s real estate firm was also responsible for the Terrance Plaza Hotel that featured artwork commissioned by renowned artists including Joan Miro and Saul Steinberg.
Emery’s ties to Indian Hill run deep. He was also a founder of village’s Cincinnati County Day School, served as vice president of the Boy Scouts and was a benefactor to the Cincinnati Art Museum (the mural Miro created for the Terrace Plaza Hotel is now arguably one of the Cincinnati Art Museum’s most recognizable works in its collection).
Today, the estate at Peterloon is used for private events, with most functions taking place in the living and dining rooms, as well as the library.
The Meadows at Peterloon
We consider the opportunity to design and build homes on the Peterloon land that’s still owned by the Emery family, nothing short of an honor. It’s also an incredibly unique opportunity because new communities are rare in Indian Hill, not to mention on such historic land.
The Meadows at Peterloon are located on 142 acres of green, gently rolling hills, wooded areas, and yes, there’s a gorgeous meadow, too. Every home at The Meadows is built with the goal of preserving the Peterloon heritage. That’s why every custom built home in the community will be, quite simply, works of art – just like the Peterloon Estate itself.
Why live in Indian Hill?
There’s a reason The Village of Indian Hill was lauded as one of the best neighborhoods for to raise a family in The Robb Report. Indian Hill simply has everything you need for exceptionally high quality of life - from top rated schools, to access to the area’s best hospitals, dining, shopping, and cultural attractions.
