Mason is a great place to build a custom home for many reasons. For starters, it’s proximity to Cincinnati and Dayton makes it an ideal location for those looking for a quiet yet bustling neighborhood to call home as well as a community with easy access to the city. Additionally, Mason’s school system is second to none, and there’s plenty of options when it comes to fun outdoors.

Below we take a closer look at Mason, Ohio and why Money voted it one of the best places to live in the U.S.A.

A strong economy
More and more large companies are choosing to relocate to Mason or add an additional location in the area. Procter & Gamble has a large office in Mason as does Cintas and Luxottica. According to Money, the job market in Mason has grown 10% since 2015 and is likely to jump another 12% by 2025.

Family friendly
Warren County is called Ohio’s largest playground for good reason. First, there’s the sprawling Kings Island amusement park that has been synonymous with the word fun for folks across southeast Ohio for decades. There’s also Great Wolf Lodge that features an incredible indoor waterpark and great lodging options.

Not into rollercoasters or water parks? Check out the Lindner Tennis Center that hosts the Western & Southern Open. If the courts are good enough for Roger Federer and Serena Williams, you know they have to be extraordinary. And don’t miss Makino Park, the butterfly shaped playground that was spearheaded by a Mason area family, inspired by their son.

Great schools
Mason schools are nationally known as some of the best in the country. In fact, Niche ranked Mason as the fourth best school district in Ohio. Mason High School has a 97% graduation rate and about 71% of students take advanced placement courses.

Connected location
Want the serenity of the country, the friendliness of a close-knit community and the nearness of the big city? Look no further than Mason. Located north of downtown Cincinnati and in close proximity to Kenwood, Hyde Park and Loveland, Mason puts you close to cultural destinations as well as many of the city’s best neighborhoods.

Great shops and restaurants
Deerfield Towne Center and the Shoppes of Mason are just two of many options for upscale shopping. There are also plenty of wonderful locally owned shops for one-of-a-kind gifts, clothing and wares. When it comes to dining, you’ve got plenty of options, too. Quatman Café is a local mainstay with incredible burgers while the Wildfire Cafe is known for locally sourced cuisine.
