Here are five ways to spend the perfect day in Loveland, Ohio:
Take a bike ride and have a picnic on the Loveland Bike Trail
It’s nearly impossible to hear “Loveland, Ohio” and not think about the Loveland Bike Trail. In fact, although you can hop on the trail at many places outside of Loveland, including Milford, Miami Township, Lebanon, and Newtown (and the trail itself is technically a part of the Little Miami State Park) you can call it the Loveland Bike Trail and everyone will know what you mean.
Historic Loveland is a perfect place to start and end your bike ride. First, grab a light breakfast and coffee at Hometown Café & Market. Then, order some of their fantastic wraps or check out their market to stock up on treats for a picnic on the trail.
Next, head on over to Loveland Bike Rental and choose from a variety of bicycles including single speed cruisers, tandems, recumbents, and child trailers. Not sure what to see on your bike ride? The staff can help you pick the perfect ride for you, from wine sampling at Valley Vineyards to an easy trek along the river.
Hit the waters of the Little Miami River
If you love water sports, or at least enjoy spending time meandering on the river in a canoe or kayak, you won’t be disappointed in Loveland. Located on the gorgeous Little Miami River, Loveland offers plenty of opportunities to climb into a canoe and relax the day away (with a little paddling, of course).
Loveland Canoe & Kayak is wonderful place to pick up a canoe, kayak, or raft to rent for the day or just a few hours. The team can offer suggestions so you can find wildlife like Blue Herons and turtles and see the rolling hillsides and beautiful clear waters. They also offer packages and even sell kayaks. And with the Little Miami so close, that’s something to keep in mind of you’re planning a move to Loveland.
Spend a day shopping
Downtown Historic Loveland is filled with locally owned boutiques, and the Loveland Farmer’s Market is arguably one of the best in the tristate. While it’s a big purchase (literally!), if the Loveland Bike Trail inspires you, make sure to visit it Montgomery Cyclery, a “go-to” for cyclists from all over Cincinnati and the surrounding area.

It’s also fun to visit Bond Furniture and Design to check out the latest design trends and see beautifully crafted furniture. Bond also offers complimentary in-store design services, so keep them in mind when you’re ready to move to Loveland.
Visit a brewery (or two)
Loveland is home to Narrow Path Brewery that makes some of Cincinnati’s most lauded beers. If you’re looking for a way to relax in the great outdoors, we highly recommend visiting Narrow Path and sitting out on the patio that’s right on the Loveland Bike Trail. If you feel like getting some “exercise” you can play a game of shuffleboard (but we prefer sitting by the outdoor firepit!)
To do a “brewery tour” of sorts, you’ll have to hop on your bike (or get ready for a long walk). Simply start at Narrow Path and bike towards Milford until you reach the Little Miami Brewing Co.
Visit the Historic Loveland Castle & Museum
The Loveland Castle is a huge part of Loveland’s history, and yes, you could easily spend a day there. First tour the castle (at $5 a person, it’s steal). Then, explore the gardens and trails around the castle. Some trails lead down to the Little Miami River. There, you can spread out a blanket and have a picnic. It’s not unlike visiting Europe in your backyard.
