How “green” are Classic Living Homes? And what does it mean to be a LEED Certified Builder?
You’ll be happy to know that we take sustainability very seriously. In fact, Classic Living Homes can provide LEED Certification for all home buyers through our sustainability program. In addition, our homes are fitted with custom, energy-efficient appliances and other features that help keep energy use and costs down.
LEED stands for Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design, and is a designation developed as part of the LEED for Homes green building certificate program. LEED promotes the building of high-performance green homes in order to reduce our carbon footprint and to create a healthier planet today and for future generations.
How long does it take to build a custom home?
This is a question we get asked very frequently and the answer varies. Typically, it takes about 12 to 18 months from the time we begin working on the home to the day you move in. This timeframe depends on several factors, however.
One thing to keep in mind is that we are committed to building homes that feature exceptional craftmanship. It may take a little more time to build a custom home, but the wait is more than worth it.
It’s important to note, too, that out team will work closely with you every step of the way and keep you informed throughout the entire process. We value communication and love when our clients take an active role in the home building process.
